We are... Baker News

Baker News is Baker High School's award winning news/talk show. Baker News releases weekly video announcements to the student body with the hope of providing information in an informative, entertaining, and comedic medium.

Baker News was founded on the idea that typical morning announcements were bland and boring to students. After doing our research, we noticed that many students did not even pay attention to the audio announcements being played for them over the intercom system. As a result, Baker News was born.

Members of Baker's Film Program, Genius Bar, and Student Council came together to create the news program we know today. The first meeting consisted of 5 individuals, which has now grown to a staff team of 20+ students who are eager to produce content for the student body.

As a result of this, Baker's video lab received renovations to become Studio Bee. A post-production room was added, providing us space to edit, as well as do our research. New filming equipment was purchased, allowing us to transition from the typical one-camera setup to the three-camera setup we use today. Microphones were purchased, allowing for outdoor and roaming features, and so much more.

The support we have received has been amazing, and it truly gives us a reason to work harder every episode. Thank you for being a supporter of Baker News, and we hope you continue to enjoy our broadcasts.
